In honor of the Ancient Apple Queen and All Hallow’s Eve, we bring you: Thursday October 27th at Star Bar Atlanta! Join 4th Ward Heroes for a fantastic night of dance party debauchery with: Today The Moon, Tomorrow The Sun + Qurious + Warning Light + Twins + Phil C. Collins of Beirut (official after-party for the already sold out Beirut show at Variety Playhouse). Halloween is already in full effect here in L5P, so costumes are encouraged! Choose something danceable!!!

Today The Moon, Tomorrow The Sun (Atlanta) – http://todaythemoon.com/

Congratulations to TTMTTS! Greyday Records recently announced the national release of the band’s debut full-length WILDFIRE on November 22, 2011. “WILDFIRE [is] fifty minutes of unrelenting thrills and chills,” This Week in New York.

It’s always super cool when hometown heroes play a big free show for the fans, catch them while you can! “Electronic. Indie. Dance. Pop. Rock. Today The Moon, Tomorrow The Sun is all about the collaborative. It’s about the connections between sound and people, it’s about the heart and the head. It’s for mistakes and triumphs, and against arrogance and underconfidence. A band of four: two girls, two boys. Noisy, dancy, loud, sincere, sweaty, loveable, hardworking,” TTMTTS.

Qurious (Atlanta) – http://qurious.bandcamp.com/

Congratulations to Qurious, who were recently voted Best of Ambient Composers by Creative Loafing Best of Atlanta 2011. CL said: “You have to know the rules before you can effectively break them, and Qurious seems to operate on a higher level of consciousness than its electro peers. Between Mike Netland’s starry-eyed production and Catherine Quesenberry’s spellbinding voice, the duo delves deep into the realm of pure atmospherics with a sense of sophistication that eludes the rest. Each song on the group’s full-length 2010 debut, Planet Plant, slowly drifts through the ether with a celestial ambiance as massive and mysterious as the universe itself. It’s a sound that gives new meaning to the word ambient.”

Warning Light – http://warninglight.blogspot.com/

Warning Light, is the project of Drew Haddon (former Roman Photos member, one third of the most recently formed Kolossi, and head of Double Phantom Digital). Check out Wild Siver via Sickfigure Records at http://warninglight.bandcamp.com/album/wild-silver Littleadvances.com says: “like a soundtrack to a lost Carpenter film. Each of the twelve tracks is a cinematic miniature of textured atmosphere, with enough variety among them that the hour running time never feels excessive,” Denton Poteet.

Twins – http://soundcloud.com/20twin

Pitchfork says: “Though Twins sounds like a duo the project is actually one man: Matt Weiner… Weiner creates warped soundscapes filled with eerie sounds and harsh noise,” Larry Fitzmaurice. Twins is Matt Weiner of Featureless Ghost – http://www.featurelessghost.com/

And alas, there is Paul B. Collins of Beirut – http://beirutband.com/
Paul will join us after his sold out show at Variety Playhouse. Don’t miss his DJ Set just after midnight!

This show is free because we love you and we love local music.
Donate at the door if you can. Thank you for your support.
Much love, 4th Ward Heroes
