“Simply stated, The Judies create pop music the way that pop music should be with catchy melodies, memorable hooks and traces of the garage rock you lived for in the ’90s. Once experiencing a live performance you won’t be able to shake front man Warren Ullom. He leaves an indelible impression as he pours every ounce of himself into each performance.” -Kelley Hagen, Metromix Atlanta

“The band self-released their debut, Hail Mega Boys, in 2007 which prompted critics to say that J-Roddy Walston and The Business is “the purest American rock-and-roll band I’ve heard in years,” (Flagpole) and sounds like “a butcher version of Queen and Ben Folds with a full backing band and a fistful of Lexapro” (WCPR). The quintet’s live show is an experience likened to “a live bull fight,” (Philly Style) and “infectiously manic…they make James Brown look lazy,” (Baltimore City Paper).” – http://vagrant.com/

The Booze

“Rebirth of the Cool is a great return to ’60s rock form for the Booze that sharpens the group’s aesthetics. “No Big Thing,” “There Goes My Girl,” which features a duet with Ashley Salisbury from the Stolen Hearts, and “Railway 188″ are soulful pop peaks in an album steeped in harmonica, slide guitars and the blues.” -Chad Radford, Creative Loafing

8 PM // 21+ // FREE

We interrupt regularly scheduled programming for a special announcement by our heroes The Falcon Lords:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Falcon Lords – Straight From the Center of Their Volcano Lair

The Falcon Lords are a band of crime fighting super heroes that made the ultimate party record about the city they love. “Straight From the Center of Their Volcano Lair” was produced and mixed By Graham Marsh, a notable recording artist whose credits include such luminaries as Gnarls Barkley and Lionel Richie. In addition, the record comes packaged with a fully illustrated comic book by James Callahan that brings The Falcon Lords’ vigilante exploits to life.

With sounds that range from the dirty south swag of “Falcon Surprise” to the college dance anthem “Chronozilla”, the Falcon Lords demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of modern song structure and sonic experimentation. Comprised of lead singer/beat master Lord Falcon Falconrod III, guitarist Lord Falconhorn and bassist Lady Falcon Flame, these masked musicians are known for their energetic live performances. To support the release, The Falcon Lords are touring the United States throughout 2010, going wherever superheroes are needed.

Come get your copy at The Official Falcon Lords Executive Release Party on March 4th at the Star Community Bar. The Falcon Lords have invited Futureshock and Hollyweerd to get you shakin’. Dookie Platters spins all night. Admission is free.
